Deanna, a young nurse, is about to face the
worse day of her life. Leaving for work, an
assailant forces his way into the elevator
and brutally rapes her. Crying, she returns
to her apartment, cleans herself up and
falls asleep. Later that night, she is
awakened by an intruder, and, using a stun
gun, she quickly renders him unconscious.
She strips him down and ties him up, but
that is only the beginning. Over the next
week she takes a life changing path that
leads her into a psychotic rage. Torturing
her tied up intruder with needles, piss, and
a blow torch, it doesn’t stop there. Soon,
her rage becomes so intense, others become
victims as well. Who will become her next
victim? Who will survive? Who will be
torched?
Filmed on a low budget,
Ryan Nicholson, once again, creates a
masterpiece with a small budget. Even though
it’s a low budget film, it is full of
intensity, and brutality. With an original
storyline, and a fast pace, the film flows
as it should. Just the intensity and
brutality alone, make this a must see film.
My only complaint is that it was too short,
coming in at 47 minutes. It left me wanting
more.
The acting was average for a low budget
film, with one exception. Michelle Boback
(Deanna) was absolutely stunning. She draws
you right in. Whether being hysterical after
the rape, or in a psychotic rage, you feel
exactly what is going through her mind at
that particular time. Neither “hero” nor
“villain”, you are still rooting for her.
“Victim” and “predator”, you still cheer her
on.
Although not filled with blood and gore, the
scenes you do see are memorable ones. The
few scenes you see are very graphic and
brutal at the same time. Such things as
melting skin with a blow torch, sawing off a
head with a power saw, literally bashing in
a face with a power saw, sticking needles in
a guy like a dart board, pouring piss into
open wounds, oh yeah, and who could forget
the graphic vision of the close up of
stabbing needles into an erect penis. Ouch,
that is one scene that’ll stay in your mind
no matter how hard you try to forget.
Overall, it is a very well made film, and
enjoyable film. It’s what I like to call a
“discussion” film. It’s one of those films
that once you’ve seen it, you tell everybody
about it. For those that have seen it, you
discuss everything about it. Hence, a
“discussion” film.
If you are into independent, underground,
and extreme films, I definitely recommend
seeing this. This is a film you won’t soon
forget. I rate this a 7 out of 10 needles
impaling an erect penis…Ouch!
